Roger F. Tomlinson, OC (17 November 1933 – 7 February 2014)was an English geographer and the primary originator of modern computerised geographic information systems (GIS), and has been acknowledged as the "father of GIS." Dr. Tomlinson was a native of Cambridge (England) and prior to attending university, he served in the Royal Air Force from 1951–1954 as a pilot and flying officer. After his military service, Dr. Tomlinson attended the University of Nottingham and Acadia University for two separate undergraduate degrees in geography and geology, respectively. He received a master's degree in geography from McGill University where he specialised in the glacial geomorphology of Labrador. His Doctoral thesis at University College London was titled: The application of electronic computing methods and techniques to the storage, compilation, and assessment of mapped data. National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon release the official notification for UGC- NET June 2020 examination. Candidates can expect the release of official notification by the first week of March. NTA generally releases the information bulletin and public notice three months before the examination. Looking at the last year trend, the information bulletin for June 2019 exam was released on March 1, 2019. The online application process had begun on March 1 and concluded on March 30. The UGC NET June 2019 exams was conducted on June 20, 21, 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28. Moreover, for UGC NET December 2019 exam, the information bulletin was released in the month of September. NTA conducts the UGC-NET exam for 'Assistant Professor' and for 'Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor . The test consists of two papers. സുപ്രധാന അറിയിപ്പ്...!!! കെ.എ. എസ് ജൂനിയർ ടൈം സ്കെയിൽ തസ്തികയുടെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിനായുള്ള പ്രാഥമിക എഴുത്ത് പരീക്ഷ നാളെ (22.2.2020 ശനിയാഴ്ച) നടക്കുകയാണ്‌. സംസ്ഥാനത്തുടനീളം 1535 പരീക്ഷാ കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളാണ് അനുവദിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്. പ്രാഥമിക എഴുത്തുപരീക്ഷ രണ്ടു പേപ്പറുകളായാണ് നടക്കുന്നത്. ആദ്യ പേപ്പറിന്റെ പരീക്ഷ രാവിലെ 10 നും രണ്ടാമത്തെ പേപ്പർ ഉച്ചകഴിഞ്ഞു 1.30 നും ആരംഭിക്കും. ഉദ്യോഗാർഥികൾ രാവിലെ പരീക്ഷയ്ക്ക് 15 മിനിറ്റ് മുൻപ് 9.45 ന് തന്നെ പരീക്ഷാകേന്ദ്രത്തിൽ എത്താൻ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കണം. അതുപോലെ ഉച്ചയ്ക്കുള്ള പരീക്ഷയ്ക്ക് 1.15 ന് തന്നെ കേന്ദ്രത്തിൽ എത്തണം. 10 മണിയുടെ ബെല്ലിന് ശേഷവും ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് 1.30 നുള്ള ബെല്ലിന് ശേഷവും പരീക്ഷാകേന്ദ്രത്തിൽ എത്തുന്ന ആരെയും പ്രവേശിപ്പിക്കുകയില്ല. പരീക്ഷാഹാളിൽ അഡ്മിഷൻ ടിക്കറ്റ്, തിരിച്ചറിയൽ രേഖ, പേന എന്നിവ മാത്രമേ കൊണ്ട് പോകാൻ കഴിയുകയുള്ളൂ. മൊബൈൽ ഫോൺ, വാച്ച്, പേഴ്‌സ് ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള വസ്തുക്കൾ കേന്ദ്രത്തിൽ സജ്ജമാക്കിയിട്ടുള്ള ക്ളോക്ക് റൂമിൽ സൂക്ഷിക്കാവുന്നതാണ്. കഴിയുന്നതും കൂടുതൽ സാധനങ്ങൾ പരീക്ഷാകേന്ദ്രത്തിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുപോകാതിരിക്കാൻ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക.  പരീക്ഷാർത്ഥികൾ മേൽപ്പറഞ്ഞ കാര്യങ്ങൾ
